Possible Causes

Aged NTC sensor with shifted resistance curve, incorrect calibration data in control board, poor thermal contact between sensor and cavity

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the sensor or control board.

  • Verify with thermometer: Place an accurate oven thermometer in the center of the cavity and compare actual temperature to the set value at several points (e.g., 150°C, 180°C, 220°C).
  • Check sensor mounting: Ensure the sensor probe is correctly positioned and not touching metal surfaces that could skew readings.
  • Replace sensor if drifted: If readings are consistently off by more than 20–30°C and other components are fine, replace the NTC sensor.
  • Calibration (if supported): Some Grundig models allow temperature offset adjustment in the settings menu. Apply a small offset (e.g., ±10–20°C) to correct minor discrepancies.

Note: Large or erratic temperature errors usually indicate a failing sensor or control board rather than a calibration issue.
