Possible Causes
Loose fan blade, bent fan impeller, foreign object contacting fan, worn fan motor bearings
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing internal panels.
- Access fan: Remove the rear panel inside the cavity to expose the fan.
- Remove debris: Check for screws, foil, or food pieces caught in the fan blades. Remove any obstructions.
- Tighten fan nut: Ensure the fan blade is securely fastened to the motor shaft. Tighten the retaining nut if loose.
- Check for wobble: Spin the fan by hand. If it wobbles or scrapes the shroud, straighten or replace the fan blade.
- Replace noisy motor: If the noise is from inside the motor (grinding or squealing), replace the convection fan motor.
Tip: Do not bend blades excessively; imbalance can cause further noise and wear.
