Possible Causes
Faulty touch control panel, Damaged or loose ribbon cable between UI and main board, Moisture ingress behind control panel, Failed UI processor on display board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before removing the control panel.
- Power cycle: Disconnect power for 10–15 minutes, then restore. Sometimes this clears temporary UI glitches.
- Dry out moisture: If E08 appeared after heavy steam cooking or cleaning, leave the oven powered off with the door open for several hours to allow moisture to evaporate. Do not use heat sources to speed drying.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the front control panel and check the flat ribbon cable between the display/touch board and the main control board. Reseat both ends and ensure there are no kinks or cracks.
- Check for damage: Look for corrosion, liquid traces, or burnt components on the UI board. If present, replace the entire touch control panel/display assembly.
When to call a technician: If reseating cables and drying do not restore normal operation, the UI or main board will likely need replacement.
