Possible Causes
Blown oven lamp bulb, Faulty lamp holder/ceramic socket, Broken lamp wiring, Failed lamp relay or triac on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch off power and allow the oven to cool before changing the bulb.
- Replace the bulb: Remove the glass lamp cover inside the oven (usually twists off). Replace the bulb with the correct high-temperature oven lamp specified by Hansa (same wattage and base type). Do not use a standard household bulb.
- Inspect the lamp holder: Check the ceramic socket for cracks, burning, or loose contacts. Replace the lamp holder if damaged.
- Check wiring: From the rear, inspect the lamp wiring harness for breaks or heat damage. Repair or replace as needed.
- Control board output: If the bulb and holder are good but the lamp never receives voltage, the control board's lamp driver may be faulty and require replacement.
When to call a technician: If replacing the bulb and inspecting the holder does not restore operation, further electrical diagnosis is needed.
