Hansa oven displays E19 and the gas burner (on gas or gas-electric models) does not ignite or goes out.

Safety first: Turn off gas supply and disconnect power before working on gas components. Ensure good ventilation.

• Clean the burner: Remove the burner cover and clean ports with a soft brush to remove grease and debris. Ensure all holes are clear.
• Inspect ignition electrode: Check the ceramic insulator for cracks and ensure the electrode tip is close enough to the burner (per manual). Clean the tip with fine sandpaper.
• Check flame sensor: On some models, the ignition electrode also serves as a flame sensor. Ensure it is properly positioned in the flame.
• Test gas valve coil: Measure resistance of the gas valve coil(s). Replace the valve assembly if open or shorted.

When to call a technician: Gas system repairs carry significant safety risks. If cleaning and simple checks do not resolve E19, contact an authorized gas technician.
