Possible Causes
Seized cooling fan motor, Blocked fan blades, Overheated fan motor winding, Faulty fan triac or relay
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and wait for the oven to cool.
- Access fan: Remove the top or rear cover to access the cooling fan motor. For convection fan, remove the rear interior panel.
- Check for obstructions: Clear any insulation, wiring, or debris interfering with the fan blades.
- Spin test: Rotate the fan by hand. If stiff or noisy, the motor bearings may be worn.
- Measure winding: Use a multimeter to check motor winding resistance. An open or very high reading indicates a failed motor.
- Replace motor: Install the correct Hitachi cooling or convection fan motor assembly if defective.
