Possible Causes
Shorted heating element to chassis, Damaged wiring insulation, Moisture inside elements or wiring, Faulty filter capacitor on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not repeatedly reset a tripping breaker. Disconnect power and investigate.
- Visual inspection: Remove rear and top panels to look for burnt wires or signs of arcing.
- Insulation test (advanced): With elements disconnected, use a megohmmeter to test insulation resistance between each element terminal and chassis. Low resistance indicates leakage.
- Dry moisture: If the oven was recently cleaned with water or steam, allow it to dry thoroughly for 24 hours and try again.
- Replace faulty component: Replace any element or wiring that shows short to ground. If the PCB filter components are burnt, replace the control PCB.
