Hoover oven display shows E03 and the oven does not heat or stops mid-cycle.

Safety first: Disconnect the oven from mains power before removing any panels.

• Visual inspection:
  • Remove the rear panel to access the oven temperature sensor.
  • Check for signs of moisture, corrosion, or burnt insulation around the sensor and its connector.
• Measure sensor resistance:
  • Disconnect the sensor plug from the harness.
  • Measure resistance at room temperature; if it is extremely low (close to 0 Ω) or far outside the expected range, the sensor is shorted.
  • Replace the sensor with a Hoover-compatible NTC probe.
• Check harness for shorts:
  • Inspect the cable from the sensor to the main PCB for crushed or melted insulation.
  • Repair or replace the harness if conductors are exposed or shorted together.
• Test after replacement:
  • Reassemble panels, restore power, and select a low-temperature function.
  • If E03 persists with a new sensor and good wiring, the main control board is likely defective and may need replacement by a technician.
