Possible Causes
Open-circuit heating element (top, bottom, or grill), Burnt wiring to element, Faulty relay or triac on main PCB, Loose element terminal connections
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate the oven from mains power before accessing any elements.
- Identify which function fails:
- Note whether the fan oven, conventional oven, or grill is not heating.
- This helps identify which element circuit is affected.
- Visual inspection:
- Remove the rear panel and/or inner cavity panels to expose the relevant element(s).
- Look for visible breaks, bulges, or burn marks on the element.
- Check for loose or burnt spade connectors.
- Test element continuity:
- Disconnect the wires from the suspect element.
- Measure resistance with a multimeter; a good element typically reads between 15–80 Ω depending on power rating.
- If the element is open (OL), replace it.
- Inspect wiring and terminals:
- Repair or replace any burnt wires using high-temperature oven cable.
- Ensure all terminals are tight and fully seated.
- If elements and wiring are OK:
- The heating relay or triac on the main control board may have failed.
- Board-level repair or replacement is recommended to be done by a qualified technician.
