Possible Causes

Blown oven lamp, Faulty lamp holder, Damaged wiring to lamp, Failed light relay or triac on main PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Switch off power at the mains before changing the lamp or accessing internal wiring.

  • Replace the lamp:
    • Remove the glass cover over the oven lamp (usually twists off).
    • Unscrew the old bulb and replace it with a Hoover-specified high-temperature oven lamp of the same rating.
    • Restore power and test. If E14 persists, continue.
  • Inspect lamp holder:
    • Check for heat damage, burning, or loose contacts in the lamp holder.
    • Replace the lamp holder if damaged.
  • Check wiring:
    • Access the rear of the lamp assembly from behind the oven.
    • Inspect and test continuity of the wires from the lamp to the main PCB.
  • If wiring and lamp are OK: The light control circuit on the main PCB may be faulty. Board repair or replacement should be done by a qualified technician.
