Hoover oven does not heat at all on any function; fan and light may still work but food remains cold.

Safety first: Isolate the oven from mains power before removing any covers. Some tests require a multimeter and basic electrical knowledge.

• Check obvious settings:
  • Ensure the clock is set and the oven is not in automatic mode.
  • Confirm a valid cooking function and temperature are selected.
• Inspect safety thermostat:
  • Remove the top or rear panel to locate the main safety thermostat.
  • If it has a reset button, press it firmly.
  • Test for continuity; replace if open and non-resettable.
• Test temperature control:
  • On models with a mechanical thermostat, test for continuity across the thermostat contacts when a temperature is selected.
  • On electronic models, test the NTC sensor resistance; replace if open/shorted.
• Check elements and wiring:
  • Test each heating element (top, bottom, grill) for continuity.
  • Repair any burnt wiring or loose terminals.
• If all components test OK: The main control board may not be supplying power to the elements. Board replacement should be carried out by a qualified technician.
