How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Ensure good room ventilation when performing burn-off. If smoke is excessive or you see flames, switch off the oven immediately.

  • Initial burn-off:
    • Remove all packaging, labels, and plastic from inside and around the oven.
    • Wipe the cavity with a damp cloth and dry.
    • Run the oven empty at 200–220°C for 30–60 minutes with the door closed and kitchen ventilated.
  • Recheck after burn-off:
    • If the smell persists after several uses, inspect elements and wiring for actual overheating damage.
