Possible Causes
Open circular heating element, Burnt wiring to circular element, Loose spade connectors, Overheated element terminals
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate the oven from mains and wait for it to cool.
Step-by-step checks:
- 1. Access fan element: Remove the rear internal panel inside the oven to expose the circular element around the fan.
- 2. Visual inspection: Look for cracks, bulges, or burn marks on the element ring.
- 3. Test continuity: From the rear of the oven, disconnect the element wires and measure resistance. Infinite resistance indicates a failed element.
- 4. Replace element: Unscrew the mounting screws, pull the element forward, transfer wires, and install a new Hotpoint-Ariston circular fan element.
