Possible Causes
Failed cooling fan motor, Jammed cooling fan blades, Faulty fan triac or relay on PCB, Open-circuit fan wiring harness
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect mains power and allow the oven to cool fully. Sharp metal edges are present behind panels.
- Identify the fan: The cooling fan is usually located at the top rear of the oven, blowing air across the control panel and cavity.
- Check for obstruction: Remove the top/rear cover and inspect the fan blades for insulation, debris, or grease buildup preventing rotation. Clean carefully.
- Spin test: With power off, spin the fan by hand. It should rotate freely without grinding. If stiff or seized, replace the cooling fan motor assembly.
- Check wiring: Inspect the fan's wiring harness and connectors to the main PCB for heat damage or loose connections. Repair or replace as needed.
- Electrical test: With the fan disconnected, measure motor winding resistance. An open circuit indicates a failed motor.
- Control fault: If the motor tests good but never receives voltage when the oven is hot, the fan control triac/relay on the PCB may be faulty, requiring PCB replacement.
