Possible Causes
Blown oven lamp, Faulty lamp holder, Open-circuit lamp wiring, Failed lamp relay or triac on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Switch off power at the breaker. Glass may be fragile; wear gloves and eye protection.
- Replace lamp: Unscrew the glass lamp cover inside the oven (usually at the rear or side). Remove the bulb and inspect the filament. Replace with a high-temperature oven lamp of the correct wattage and cap type.
- Check lamp holder: If the new bulb does not work, inspect the lamp holder for heat damage or corrosion. Test for voltage at the holder when the light is switched on (power on test for qualified persons only).
- Inspect wiring: From the rear, check the two wires feeding the lamp holder for continuity and secure connections to the PCB.
- Control fault: If the holder and wiring are good but no power is supplied, the lamp driver on the PCB may be faulty, requiring board replacement.
