Possible Causes
Open-circuit meat probe, Damaged probe cable, Faulty probe socket/jack, Dirty or oxidised probe contacts
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before accessing internal wiring. The probe tip can be sharp.
- Check probe physically: Inspect the probe cable for cuts, kinks, or burn marks. Replace if damaged.
- Test probe resistance: Measure resistance between the probe contacts. Compare with service data; an open circuit indicates a failed probe.
- Inspect probe jack: Check the socket inside the oven for grease or food debris. Clean gently with a dry cloth and contact cleaner.
- Check wiring to PCB: From the rear, trace the probe jack wiring to the control board. Ensure connectors are secure and wires intact.
- Replace faulty parts: Replace the meat probe accessory or the probe jack assembly as required.
