Hotpoint Ventilation / Moisture Management Issue

Excessive condensation or water droplets forming on oven door and control panel during cooking

Possible Causes

Blocked oven vents, Damaged door seal, Cooling fan not running, High-moisture cooking without ventilation

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Surfaces may be hot; allow cooling before touching vents.

  • Check vents: Locate the oven's steam outlet (often at the top of the door or rear). Ensure it is not blocked by foil, trays, or cabinet trim.
  • Inspect door seal: Replace if it is not sealing properly, allowing steam to escape onto the glass.
  • Verify cooling fan: Ensure the cooling fan operates during cooking (see F05). Replace if not running.
  • Use extractor: When cooking high-moisture foods, use a kitchen extractor fan or open a window to reduce condensation.
