How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate from mains before removing covers.
- Check terminal block links: Some Hotpoint ovens require metal links between terminals for single-phase operation. Ensure all factory links are present and tight.
- Test safety thermostat: Locate any inline thermal cut-outs in the live feed to the selector or PCB and test for continuity. Replace if open.
- Inspect selector switch: Look for burnt or melted contacts. Replace the switch if the main live feed is not passed through in any position.
- Check harness: Verify continuity of the live feed from the terminal block to the control components.
