How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power before removing the control panel or knob assembly.

Check selector knob: Ensure the knob is not cracked or slipping on the shaft. Replace if loose.
Clean contacts: On mechanical selectors, remove the knob and clean around the shaft to remove grease or debris.
Inspect encoder or switch: Access the selector mechanism and check for broken plastic parts or burnt contacts.
Test continuity: Use a multimeter to verify that the selector outputs change correctly when different modes are chosen.
Replace faulty part: Replace the function selector switch or control panel encoder if defective.

Note: After replacement, verify that all cooking modes (bake, grill, fan, etc.) can be selected and run without errors.
