Oven heats on bake but not on grill/broil (top element cold)

Safety first: Disconnect power and let the oven cool before working near the top element.

• Inspect element: Look for visible damage or breaks in the grill element.
• Test continuity: Disconnect the element and measure resistance. Replace if open.
• Check connections: Ensure the spade connectors are tight and not oxidized or burnt.
• Control board: If the element and wiring are good, the grill relay may have failed. Replace the control board.

Note: Some Ikea ovens have dual-circuit grill elements; ensure both circuits are tested.
