Strong chemical or plastic smell when oven is used (beyond initial burn-in)

Safety first: Turn off the oven and ventilate the area if the smell is strong or irritating.

• Check interior: Remove all racks, trays, and accessories. Ensure no plastic, foam, or labels remain inside.
• Inspect door and frame: Look for melted plastic trims or seals.
• Check behind panels: If the smell is electrical (sharp, acrid), disconnect power and inspect wiring and control board for signs of overheating or melting.
• Burn-in cycle: If no damage is found and the oven is new, run an empty burn-in cycle at high temperature (per manual) with good ventilation.

Warning: If you see smoke from behind the control panel or smell burning electronics, stop using the oven and have it serviced.
