Display shows E04 and oven controls are unresponsive or partially locked.

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before removing any control panel parts.

Basic reset and cleaning:

• First, try a power reset: switch off the breaker for 5–10 minutes, then restore power and see if the error clears.
• Clean the glass touch panel with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Remove any grease or residue that might cause false touches. Dry thoroughly.
• Ensure no water or steam is trapped behind the glass; if the oven was recently cleaned with steam, allow several hours to dry.

Panel inspection:

• If the error persists, remove the front control panel (usually held by screws behind the trim or door) to access the touch board.
• Check the ribbon cable between the touch panel and main control board; reseat both ends carefully.
• Inspect for corrosion, burnt spots, or cracked tracks on the user interface PCB.
• If a specific key is always active or the panel does not respond, replace the touch control / user interface board assembly.
