Possible Causes

Failed cooling fan motor, blocked cooling air path, faulty cooling fan thermostat, main control board fan driver fault

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the oven to cool. Sharp metal edges are present behind panels; wear cut-resistant gloves.

Cooling system checks:

  • Remove the top or rear panel to access the cooling fan (the fan that blows air across the control panel and top of the oven, not the convection fan inside the cavity).
  • Spin the cooling fan blades by hand; they should rotate freely without grinding. If stiff or seized, replace the cooling fan motor.
  • Check for insulation or wiring obstructing the fan blades and clear any obstructions.
  • Inspect the cooling fan thermostat or thermal cut-out (usually clipped to the top of the oven cavity). Test continuity at room temperature; it should be closed. If open and not resettable, replace it.
  • Verify that the fan receives mains voltage when the oven is heating (requires live testing by a qualified person). If no voltage is present but the board should be driving it, suspect a faulty main control board.

After repair: Reassemble, restore power, and run the oven at 180–200°C while confirming the cooling fan starts and stops correctly.
