Possible Causes
Shorted lamp holder, blown lamp causing short, damaged lamp glass, faulty light switch or relay on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power. Glass from broken lamps can be sharp; wear gloves and eye protection.
Lamp and holder checks:
- Remove the lamp cover inside the oven (usually twists off). Inspect the bulb for cracks or blackening.
- Replace the bulb with the correct high-temperature oven lamp (same wattage and base type specified by Ilve).
- Inspect the lamp holder for signs of arcing, burning, or melted ceramic/plastic. Replace the lamp holder if damaged.
- Check wiring from the lamp holder to the control board or switch for heat damage or loose connections.
- If the lamp and holder are good but switching the light on still triggers E10, the light relay or triac on the control board may be faulty and the board may need replacement.
