How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate power. Grill elements can retain heat; ensure they are cool before handling.
Grill element checks:
- Access the grill element from inside the cavity (top) or from the rear, depending on model.
- Inspect for visible breaks, sagging, or burn marks on the element.
- Disconnect one wire and measure resistance across the element; an open reading indicates failure.
- Tighten any loose spade connectors and replace any burnt terminals or wiring.
- If the element and wiring are sound, test for voltage at the element terminals when grill is selected (live test by a qualified person). If no voltage is present, suspect the grill relay or main control board.
