Possible Causes
Weak or partially failed heating element, faulty temperature sensor calibration, heat loss due to damaged door seal, incorrect supply voltage (e.g., wired for 400V but supplied 230V single phase incorrectly)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the oven to cool before internal checks.
Checks:
- Inspect the door gasket all around for gaps, tears, or flattened sections; replace if not sealing properly.
- Test each heating element (bake, grill, fan-forced) for correct resistance; replace any element that is open or significantly higher resistance than spec.
- Verify the temperature sensor reading with a multimeter and compare to spec; replace if out of range.
- Use an oven thermometer to compare actual temperature to the set temperature; if consistently low and components are good, the control board may require replacement or recalibration (service mode).
- Have an electrician confirm that the oven is wired to the correct voltage and phase configuration per Ilve installation instructions.
