Possible Causes
Heating element shorted to earth, damaged wiring insulation touching chassis, moisture in elements after cleaning, faulty line filter or suppression capacitor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not repeatedly reset a tripping breaker. Disconnect power and keep the oven off until the fault is found.
Diagnostic steps:
- Disconnect each heating element in turn and test insulation resistance between each terminal and the oven chassis using a megohmmeter if available; any low resistance indicates leakage.
- Visually inspect wiring harnesses for melted insulation or pinched wires contacting metal.
- If the oven was recently steam-cleaned, allow 24–48 hours to dry fully, then retest.
- Inspect the line filter / suppression module for signs of failure; replace if cracked or burnt.
