Possible Causes

Failed circular fan element, Loose or burnt fan element connectors, Faulty oven thermostat or sensor, Partially shorted element reducing output

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety warning: Isolate the oven from mains power before removing any panels.

  • 1. Access the fan element: Remove the oven shelves and the internal rear cover (usually held by a few screws) to expose the circular fan element around the convection fan.
  • 2. Visual and continuity check: Inspect the element for cracks, bulges, or burn spots. Disconnect the terminals and test with a multimeter. A reading of infinite resistance indicates a failed element; replace it with a compatible Indesit fan oven element.
  • 3. Check connectors: Ensure the spade terminals are tight and not heat-damaged. Clean light oxidation and crimp or replace loose connectors.
  • 4. Verify temperature control: If the element is good, test the temperature sensor or thermostat as per service data. Replace if readings are out of specification.

After reassembly, run the oven to 200°C and verify it reaches temperature within 10–15 minutes.
