Possible Causes
Failed tangential cooling fan motor, Blocked air vents, Faulty cooling fan thermostat, Faulty control board output to cooling fan
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect mains power before removing the top cover or control panel.
- 1. Check ventilation: Ensure the oven installation allows proper airflow around the cabinet. Clear any obstructions from front and rear vents.
- 2. Inspect cooling fan: Remove the top cover to access the tangential cooling fan. Check for debris or insulation blocking the fan. Spin the fan by hand; if stiff or seized, replace the cooling fan assembly.
- 3. Test fan motor: Disconnect the motor and measure resistance. An open circuit indicates a failed motor. Replace with the correct Indesit cooling fan.
- 4. Check thermostat and wiring: Some models use a thermostat to switch the cooling fan. Test the thermostat for continuity when hot. Verify wiring from the thermostat and fan to the control board.
Overheating of the control panel can damage electronics; do not continue using the oven until the cooling system is restored.
