Possible Causes
Cooling fan thermostat stuck closed, Control board not switching fan off, High residual heat due to insulation issues, Faulty temperature sensor feedback
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Note: It is normal for the cooling fan to run for some time after use, but not for hours.
- 1. Time the run-on: Observe how long the fan runs after a typical cooking cycle. Up to 30–40 minutes can be normal after high-temperature use.
- 2. Check for excessive heat: If the control panel remains very hot, inspect cooling fan operation and airflow as per cooling fan fault procedures.
- 3. Test fan thermostat: On models with a separate thermostat, test it for correct open/closed operation at specified temperatures. Replace if stuck closed.
- 4. Control board fault: If the fan runs indefinitely even when the oven is cold, the control board output transistor or relay may be stuck on. Replace the board.
