Indesit oven interior light stays on all the time, even when the door is closed and oven is off.

Safety first: Disconnect mains power before working on the door or control panel.

• 1. Check door switch operation: Locate the door switch (usually near the door frame). Press it manually; you should hear a click. If it feels loose or does not click, replace it.
• 2. Test switch electrically: Remove the switch and test continuity with a multimeter. It should change state when pressed. Replace if faulty.
• 3. Inspect latch alignment: Ensure the door latch properly engages the switch actuator. Adjust latch or hinges if needed.
• 4. Control board relay: If the switch is good, the lamp relay on the PCB may be welded closed. Inspect and replace the control board if required.
