Possible Causes
Child lock feature enabled, Faulty start button or touch sensor, Defective selector knob encoder, Control board input fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Before assuming a fault, check user settings.
- 1. Check child lock: Refer to the user manual. Typically, holding a specific button combination (e.g. +/- or lock symbol) for several seconds toggles the lock. Disable the lock and test.
- 2. Test start button: If the oven uses a physical button, check for a positive click. For touch controls, see if other buttons respond. If only the start button fails, the UI panel may need replacement.
- 3. Inspect selector encoder: On some models, a rotary encoder sends function data to the board. If the display does not change when turning the knob, the encoder or its connection may be faulty.
- 4. Control board diagnosis: If UI components are good, the main PCB may not be recognising inputs. Replacement is usually required.
