Possible Causes
Loose keypad ribbon cable, Damaged touch panel, Faulty control board keypad interface, Contamination on keypad connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Turn off power at the breaker before removing the control panel.
- Access control panel: Remove the screws securing the front control panel and gently pull it forward to expose the keypad ribbon cable.
- Reseat ribbon: Disconnect the ribbon from the control board, inspect for corrosion or damage, then reconnect firmly.
- Clean connector: Use electrical contact cleaner on the connector if there is visible contamination.
- Inspect panel: Check the touch panel for cracks, warping, or liquid intrusion. If damaged, replace the control panel / touchpad assembly.
- Control board replacement: If reseating and panel replacement do not clear E0, the control board’s keypad interface is likely defective and the board should be replaced.
