Possible Causes
Failed convection fan motor, Obstructed convection fan blade, Open convection fan wiring, Faulty convection relay on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Disconnect power before accessing the rear or interior fan components.
- Check fan operation: Start a convection bake cycle and listen for the convection fan. If silent and E4 appears, suspect the fan or its circuit.
- Inspect fan blade: Remove the rear interior cover inside the oven cavity to access the fan blade. Clear any food debris or foil that may be blocking rotation.
- Test fan motor: From the rear of the oven, disconnect the fan motor and measure resistance. An open circuit indicates a failed motor that must be replaced.
- Wiring and relay: Inspect the wiring from the fan to the control board and the convection relay on the board. Repair damaged wires; replace the control board if the relay is burnt or inoperative.
