Possible Causes
Weak or failed bake igniter, Clogged burner ports, Faulty gas safety valve, Insufficient gas supply pressure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Turn off gas and power before disassembling any gas components. Gas work should be done by qualified personnel.
- Observe igniter: With the oven assembled, start a bake cycle and observe the bake igniter. If it glows but the burner does not light within 60–90 seconds, the igniter may be too weak to open the gas valve and should be replaced.
- Clean burner: After turning off gas and power, remove the bake burner and clean the ports with a soft brush to remove debris.
- Check gas valve: If a new igniter does not restore ignition, the gas safety valve may be defective and should be tested and replaced by a technician.
- Gas supply: Ensure other gas appliances work properly; if not, contact your gas supplier.
