Possible Causes
Burned-out oven light bulb, Faulty light socket, Failed light switch or relay, Broken light lens
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Turn off power or unplug the oven before replacing the bulb to avoid electric shock.
- Replace bulb: Remove the oven light lens cover inside the cavity, unscrew the bulb, and replace it with the correct high-temperature appliance bulb specified by Insignia.
- Inspect socket: If the new bulb does not light, inspect the light socket for corrosion or burn marks. Replace the socket if damaged.
- Door switch: Test the door switch if the light is supposed to come on when the door opens. Replace if it does not change state when pressed.
- Control relay: If the light is controlled by a button on the panel and all hardware is good, the light relay on the control board may be faulty and the board may need replacement.
