Possible Causes

Shorted touchpad membrane, Damaged keypad ribbon cable, Moisture intrusion into control panel

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off power at the breaker before opening the control panel.

  • Reset and dry: If the code appeared after a spill or heavy steam, turn off power and let the control area dry for several hours. Do not use the oven until fully dry.
  • Inspect keypad: Remove the control panel trim and visually inspect the touchpad for cracks, bubbling, or signs of liquid damage.
  • Check ribbon cable: Disconnect the keypad ribbon from the control board, clean the contacts gently with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free swab, then reconnect firmly.
  • Test operation: Restore power. If F1-2 persists or certain keys do not respond, the touchpad assembly must be replaced.
  • Replace touch panel: Order the correct JennAir touchpad/control panel assembly by model number. Transfer any brackets and reinstall in reverse order.

Note: Do not spray cleaners directly on the control panel; spray onto a cloth first to prevent future moisture damage.
