Possible Causes
Failed microprocessor on EOC, Power surge damage, Internal relay or component failure on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off the circuit breaker supplying the oven before removing any panels.
- Power cycle: Turn off power for 10 minutes, then restore. If F1-5 reappears immediately, the control board is likely defective.
- Visual inspection: Remove the control panel and inspect the electronic oven control (EOC) for burnt spots, bulging capacitors, or damaged traces.
- Check incoming power: Verify that the oven is receiving correct voltage (typically 240V across L1–L2 and 120V from each leg to neutral). Incorrect supply can damage or confuse the control.
- Replace EOC: If no wiring issues are found, replace the EOC with the correct JennAir part. Transfer each wire one at a time from the old board to the new to avoid miswiring.
Note: If the oven experienced a recent lightning strike or power surge, consider using a surge protector on the circuit after repair.
