JennAir oven shows F4-1, may not start or may shut off mid-cycle

Safety: Turn off power before accessing the door lock mechanism.

• Check door closure: Ensure the oven door closes fully and the latch engages. A bent latch can prevent the switch from closing.
• Inspect lock assembly: Remove the top panel or front trim (depending on model) to access the door lock motor and switch assembly.
• Test switch: Use a multimeter to check continuity of the door lock switch when the lock is engaged. No continuity indicates a bad switch.
• Check wiring: Inspect the harness from the lock assembly to the control board for breaks or loose connectors.
• Replace lock assembly: If the switch or motor is defective, replace the complete door lock assembly for reliability.
