How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Allow the oven to cool before working on the door.
- Inspect hinges: Open the door and check the hinges for bending, cracks, or loose mounting screws.
- Check hinge receivers: On wall ovens, ensure the hinge arms are fully seated in the receiver slots in the oven frame.
- Test door seal: Close the door on a strip of paper at several points around the gasket. If the paper pulls out easily, the door is not sealing properly.
- Replace hinges: If hinges are worn or bent, replace both hinges as a set with JennAir-compatible parts.
- Adjust latch: Slightly adjust the door latch/strike position if possible to improve closure.
