Possible Causes
Weak bake element, Faulty oven temperature sensor, Poor door gasket seal, Miscalibrated control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before testing components.
- Check elements: Confirm both bake and broil elements glow red during preheat. If one does not, test and replace as needed.
- Test sensor: Measure oven sensor resistance at room temperature (around 1050–1100 ohms). Replace if out of spec.
- Inspect door gasket: Check the door seal for gaps, tears, or flattening. Replace if it does not seal evenly all around.
- Calibrate temperature: Use an oven thermometer to compare actual temperature to set temperature. Many JennAir models allow temperature offset adjustment in the settings menu (e.g., +/- 30°F).
