Possible Causes
Failed convection fan motor, Obstructed fan blade, Faulty convection relay on EOC, Broken wiring to fan
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker.
- Check for obstruction: Remove oven racks and inspect the convection fan cover at the back of the oven. Remove the cover and ensure nothing is blocking the fan blade.
- Spin test: Gently spin the fan blade by hand; it should move freely. If seized, replace the convection fan motor.
- Electrical test: With power off, access the fan motor terminals from the rear, check resistance. An open circuit indicates a bad motor.
- Control output: If motor is good, the EOC may not be sending power in convection mode; replace the electronic oven control if no voltage is present when commanded.
