How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before removing the control panel.
- Check for stuck keys: Press each button firmly and see if any feel stuck or unresponsive. Clean the surface of the keypad.
- Ribbon cable inspection:
- Remove the back cover of the control panel.
- Disconnect the keypad ribbon from the EOC, inspect for corrosion or damage, and reseat it securely.
- Isolate keypad vs. EOC:
- With the keypad ribbon disconnected, restore power briefly.
- If F1 still appears with the keypad unplugged, the EOC is defective and must be replaced.
- If F1 disappears, the keypad is faulty; replace the touchpad / control panel assembly.
