Oven makes loud banging or popping noises during heating or cooling

Possible Causes
Metal panels expanding and contracting, Loose oven liner or back panel screws, Warped bake or broil element
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and allow the oven to cool before tightening any screws.
- Check mounting screws: Tighten screws on the back panel, side panels, and oven cavity liner accessible from inside the oven.
- Inspect elements: Look for elements that are touching the oven cavity or warped. Reposition or replace the bake element or broil element if they contact metal surfaces.
- Normal sounds: Some popping from metal expansion is normal, but very loud or new noises may indicate loose parts that should be secured.
