Broil element does not heat but bake works

Safety: Disconnect power before servicing.

• Visual inspection: Check the broil element for cracks or burn spots.
• Test resistance: Measure broil element resistance; infinite reading means it is open.
• Inspect wiring: Access the rear of the oven and verify secure, undamaged connections to the broil element.

Replace the broil element if defective and repair any damaged wiring.
