Possible Causes
Partially failing oven sensor, poor sensor connection at control, control misreading sensor signal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before testing.
- Check sensor resistance at multiple temps: Measure at room temperature and again after gently warming the sensor (e.g., with a hair dryer). Resistance should increase smoothly; jumps or opens indicate failure.
- Inspect connector: Clean and reseat the sensor connector at the control board.
- Verify harness continuity: Check continuity from sensor plug to control board plug.
If sensor and wiring test good, the control board may be misinterpreting the signal and should be replaced.
