Possible Causes
Burned-out oven lamp, Faulty lamp socket, Defective door switch, Failed light relay on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before replacing the lamp or accessing the socket. Use only high-temperature-rated oven bulbs.
- 1. Replace bulb: Remove the glass lens cover inside the oven (usually twists off). Replace the bulb with a La Cornue-approved oven lamp of the same wattage and type.
- 2. Test door switch: If the light still does not work, check the door switch (if present) for proper actuation and continuity when the door is opened.
- 3. Inspect socket: Examine the lamp socket for heat damage or corrosion. Replace the socket if the contacts are burned or loose.
- 4. Control relay: If the bulb, socket, and switch are good, the light relay on the control board may have failed. Replace the control board if it does not send power to the lamp circuit.
