Possible Causes
Corrupted control board firmware, Failed EEPROM or memory IC, Power surge damage to PCB, Internal short on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before removing the control panel. Electronic boards are sensitive to static; avoid touching tracks and components unnecessarily.
- Power reset: Turn off power at the breaker for at least 5–10 minutes to allow the control to fully discharge. Restore power and check if F08 clears.
- Check supply voltage: Ensure the cooker is connected to the correct supply (usually 230–240 V AC) and that there are no loose connections at the terminal block.
- Inspect PCB: Remove the front control panel to access the electronic board. Look for burnt components, cracked solder joints, or signs of moisture ingress.
- Dry moisture: If there are signs of condensation or liquid spill behind the control panel, allow the area to dry completely (24 hours with power off). Do not use a hairdryer directly on the PCB.
- Replace board: If F08 persists and there is visible damage or no obvious external cause, the control board will likely need replacement. This should be done by a qualified technician to ensure correct wiring and safety testing.
