Possible Causes
Drifted or partially faulty temperature sensor, Poor sensor contact with cavity, Loose sensor connector on PCB, Control board calibration fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before accessing the sensor or control board.
- Verify with an oven thermometer: Place an accurate oven thermometer in the centre of the cavity and compare the actual temperature to the set temperature. Note any large discrepancies (over ±20 °C).
- Inspect sensor mounting: Ensure the temperature sensor probe is firmly fixed and not hanging loose or touching the oven walls, which can cause false readings.
- Check connections: Reseat the sensor connector at both the sensor end and the PCB. Oxidised contacts can cause intermittent readings.
- Test sensor resistance: Measure the sensor at room temperature and at a known elevated temperature (e.g., after heating the sensor tip in warm water, then drying). Resistance should change smoothly. Replace if readings are erratic.
- Control board calibration: Some Leisure models allow minor temperature offset adjustments via the user menu; consult the user manual. If the error persists or is severe, the control board may require replacement.
