Possible Causes
Defective thermal cut-out thermostat, Blocked cooling vents causing overheating, Failed or weak cabinet cooling fan, Poor installation clearance around cooker
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Allow the cooker to cool fully and isolate from mains before accessing thermostats or fans.
- Check installation: Verify that the cooker has the required clearances around and above it as specified in the Leisure installation guide. Remove any items blocking ventilation slots.
- Inspect cooling fan: Access the top/rear of the cooker and ensure the cooling fan runs when the oven is on. If it is noisy, slow, or not running, replace the fan motor.
- Locate thermal cut-out: Find the thermal cut-out thermostat on the top or rear of the oven cavity. Some have a manual reset button; press it if present.
- Test thermostat: Check continuity at room temperature. A thermostat that remains open after cooling is faulty and must be replaced.
- Re-test: After replacing parts, run the oven and monitor for normal operation without F13 returning.
